P Bass - '51 Flat Pole P p-bass
From its introduction in 1951, the Precision bass transformed the world of bass playing with its unique look, feel and tone. The Bare Knuckle P Bass range captures that groundbreaking tone in both the original 'Tele' bass single coil, and later, humbucking split coil designs.
'51 Flat Pole
Using our own vintage correct fibreboard flat work and Alnico V magnets, the '51 Flat Pole P single coil is an accurate reproduction of the first Precision Bass pickup. With its characteristic bright tone, the 42AWG plain enamel scatter-wound coil produces a dynamic feel with the extended frequency response of a true single coil. Low notes are solid and focused, while mids and highs cut through effectively for a mature and authoritative performance. As per the original design, the coil is string wrapped and hookup is vintage correct yellow and black cloth 'push back’.
