Youtube Demo of the Week.
Hello and welcome back to our weekly blog, where we rummage in the archive of our YouTube channel for hidden gems you may have missed, or highlight new videos to our channel that are fresh off the press. Our YouTube channel is a brilliant place to listen to the many tones of Bare Knuckle, a "try before you buy", if you will. But it is also a fantastic tool for the budding gutarist, as well as the professional. Pick up (sorry, pun not intended!) loads of tricks and tips, as well as ideas for licks and new ways to tune your guitar. We are very proud of our roster of incredibly talented demo artists, who we are currently highlighting on our blog as well. We have interviewed them, and have started with Connor Kaminski, which you can read here.
So delve in, and enjoy the wealth of information available on our channel. This week we have revisited our demo artists James Phillips playing the Ragnarok from last month.
The Ragnarok is a chunky, fat sounding pickup that’s also devastatingly tight and aggressive; a hot ceramic pickup with a smooth top end and incredible clarity.
“The Ragnarok is aggressive. In a way, it is a response to the very balanced nature of the Juggernaut. I wanted once again to work with both Tim and Nolly to create a pickup that I felt hadn't been made yet, this time aiming for the more angry and compressed side of the spectrum. The Ragnarok has a full tone and is in-your-face with any picking dynamic. The eq is balanced to the point where you won't lose the low mids in favour of the top end. It blends the best attributes of what contemporary passive and active pickups offer in a convenient package”.
Misha Mansoor.
