Bare Knuckle Artists Press to MECO
4th July 2018
Introducing Press To MECO
At Bare Knuckle we always make a point of getting to know the artists on our roster. Before anybody gets signed up, we have a conversation with them and talk through what they're doing as an artist, find out how often they're touring and ask what they're doing to push themselves forward as musicians. We heard from the chaps in Press To MECO some time ago; back then they were touring a lot, as well as keeping a very active social media profile and fanbase. We kept in touch, and were impressed by their passion and proactivity. When they told us they were about to announce their record signing, and had another tour on the way, we decided the time was right and we invited them to join us as artists. Their energetic style of rock music is accessible and fun, and we knew the sound was already partly thanks to their Bare Knuckles. Luke Caley, the guitarist, and Adam Roffey, the bassist, were already avid BKP users. Luke plays our Mississippi Queens and Warpigs, and Adam plays our '60 PE J Bass. Whilst already playing Bare Knuckles isn't a pre-requisite with our artists, it definitely helps as we know that people aren't just out for freebies. Speaking of, whilst we're here, another BKP artist, Rabea Massaad, has made a video talking about artist endorsements and it's really worth watching. Have a look here.
Here's To The Fatigue and Marshall Records
Once Press To MECO had been made BKP artists they seemed to fly! Now, we aren't saying it's down to us, but...! In all seriousness, PTM have been making waves for a long time and it was great to see their hard work pay off. These guys seriously tour, and they are really active on their social media accounts. The best thing? They're just super nice guys. They always e-mail in with their latest videos, all set up for all the various social medias, and make sure to check in to see how we're doing and update us with their progress. It was really great to hear that recently they had signed to Marshall Records, along with another BKP artist, King Creature. Through Marshall they've released their newest album, "Here's to the Fatigue", and they've been touring like mad still! Check PTM out on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.
If you think you might qualify for our artist program (full-time career musician, actively touring and signed to a record label) drop us an e-mail at [email protected]. If you are a Bare Knuckle player and you think your band deserves a mention on our socials because you have a new song out, or you've got tour dates coming up, don't be scared to contact us. Whilst we can't promote everyone who contacts us, we do what we can to support upcoming and smaller artists even if we can't have you on board as a BKP artist.
