This is a
VHII Bridge -> PRS SE Singlecut -> MI Audio Crunch Box -> RMC3 Wah -> Bogner Shiva -> Lexicon MX200 -> Shure SM57 -> Logic Pro
VHII sounds good in any situation, but actually I think it should be called "Sir David" as it always makes me wanna play Floyd ...

I think the fact that you ran out of backing track at the end shows how much you where enjoying yourself I really enjoyrd it, though I wouldn't have associated the VH II with Gilmouresque tones Going slightly off topic, Ive been looking at buying a Wah and everybody seems to suggest RMC is about the best however which one. My preferred wah tones are 60s vintage, hendrix, cream & early floyd era, but I din't like the Dunlop wahs (sounded very nasal) It's looking like I either want a RMC or Vox any thoughts Rob...

Hey there, I would go and try RMC Picture Wah, Wizard Wah and RMC3 as well as a Fulltone Clyde and Clyde Deluxe. These are all awesome Wahs. The RMC3 has the great advantage of internal trim pots which can be used to drastically tweak the wah to your own taste. The Fulltones are crazy expensive, but well, probably one proper wah for a lifetime should be sufficient. I had Vox 847, didn't do the trick for me, especially as the bypass sucked tone and the level dropped when I switched it on.

First off hunter, that clip sounded awesome as usual! I've been wanting to learn those solos for a while now, but I think I've had enough of guitar this afternoon - been learning the last solo in Sweet Child O Mine for the cover band and my fingertips are in so much pain I think the fact that you ran out of backing track at the end shows how much you where enjoying yourself I really enjoyrd it, though I wouldn't have associated the VH II with Gilmouresque tones Going slightly off topic, Ive been looking at buying a Wah and everybody seems to suggest RMC is about the best however which one. TBH I dont think you can go wrong with a Vox.. I got mine off ebay a while ago for £56 and was allready true bypass modded. I plan on doing some other mods to it as they seem really easy to do - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.castledine/greenfuz/wah.htmlA clip that I did here shows the Vox wah in the solo, with no mods other than true bypass (excuse the cr@p playing) http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=493678&songID=5030851

The RMC3 is the one that looks like the logical choice as it will (apparently) do everything the rest ofthe range does, however te UK distributers seem to be a little brain damaged Also theres nowhere to try it out in advance (that I have found). I was also looking at the Vox V848, but havn't seen one in stock. I'm also very happy to mod pedals (having done enough sctatch builds in the past) Thanks for the info, and keep up supplying us with great examples.

Rob... Hey Kilby, I've been through about 4 or 5 wahs including Boss, Dunlop, etc. looking for the tones your describing as well. I just sold my Teese/RMC WOF wah a couple of weeks ago and bought a Teese/RMC Picture wah, which should be arriving this week. If your looking to get a new wah, I would highly recommend Teese/RMC.

That is my favourite floyd song, and Gilmour is one of my fave guitarists. Both done justice to there Hunter Would never have thought a humbucking LP body could give such a Gilmour-esque sound (although I think Gilmour has used a LP on a few tracks?) Was thinking about getting a PRS Singlecut (after your recommendation I think) ... now VHII's are in the frame as well!

He used a P90 equipped LP for the 2nd solo on another brick (I think). Hey Steve was it a UK sourced RMC ?

Thanks a lot for the flowers:) In the end, it's a highly distorted and processed tone, which makes the difference between HB and SC almost a indistinguishable - most important is to have enough transparency/highs, and those come in spades from BKPs/VHIIs, which is what makes them so versatile. Re the Singlecut - do you consider getting the real deal / US built? Their price is just crazy but I would die to have a trem version ... they are just so stylish and tasty ...

Hmm, don't know the funkadelic one but will look into it. Here is another clip showing the RMC Wah and how it sounds with a SoulBender Fuzz: http://www.thegutbusters.com/temp/fuzz.mp3
