recorded the solo from as i am from dream theatre got a new recording rig and wanted to try it out, tabbed the solo from ear. i use miracle men pups in my jackson v Smile

are the leads neck or bridge?

Realyl good tone you have there too its actually what im looking for lead wise

hehe hey thanks man. yeah these pickups are insane Very Happy i love them i have a 7 string dean i want to get soon perhaps trying nailbombs out in them would be kool. but yeah these pickups have alot of diversity and i played it on the fatter tone sounding pickup i think thats the bridge i cant remember. if you get these pups you will love the pinch harmonics Very Happy really wail out dood

Good tone for this shreddy stuff. I had a hard time following the melody though, compared to the original solo (as one would argue that there isn't much melody in the original solo). Maybe practice it more while listening to the track to make sure to get the timing/phrasing right. Other than that good job. Most people give up learning this kind of stuff by ear.

I already have the bridge miracle man in my les paul and i love it.

im currently deciding between CS neck & MM neck

i also havea  nailbomb but it doesnt really compliment the guitar its in so im thinking of changing that out

thankyou ilyti yeah i found it a hard solo to learn but i kept practising it for hrs on end, i just love prog rock and metal. the technicalities both in rythmn and lead inspire me. and hate_growth deffo get the MM's well worth it. when you got both you instantly have nice clean tone and also versatile crunchy attitude and smooth lead sounding tone from both the neck and bridge
